Anne Loch

Anne Loch constantly expanded her painting technique throughout her life and was forever experimenting with the possibilities of paint application methods and painting implements. In this two-part work, the artist built up the canvasses one layer at a time: the base is a layer of red paint, which she then overlaid with yellow, white, green and other shades of red. Using a broad palette knife, she expertly sculpted the herd of goats from the vibrant paints.
