Permanent marker on canvas, 160,0 x 340,0 cm
Collection BONDO

In 2003, Anne Loch created a series of works using permanent marker on canvas. In some cases, she applied a background of acrylic paint with a spatula, lending the works a distinct tone. In others she drew directly onto the primed canvas. Using fine pen strokes, she created a Graubünden mountain landscape across a length of almost 3.5 metres. Thanks to the fine strokes, the heavy rock formations look like lightweight pebbles.
When she created this work, Loch had already returned to Germany. As such, she had to rely entirely on photos and memories.
