The estate of Anne Loch

Anne Loch demonstrated the same enthusiasm for experimentation in her photography as she did in her painting: she broke photographs down into many individual pieces and rearranged them. The pieces do not entirely fit back together – they are always slightly out of alignment. This gives rise to a sense of confusion – something that is supposedly clearly defined becomes indistinct.
As in her painting, she has turned away from colour in her photography, ultimately only taking photographs in black and white.
