Anne Loch

Anne Loch created her final work on canvas in 2013, the year she was diagnosed with cancer. On a square canvas, the artist applied a purple surface with coarse brushstrokes, thereby approximating colour field painting. In some areas of the canvas, the paint has been applied in several layers, while in others, the canvas still gleams through. This imbues the monochrome colour field with a sense of depth.
