The estate of Anne Loch

Already before withdrawing to Graubünden, Anne Loch visited Switzerland – including the Lake Thun region. Not long after her visit, she created a series of seven artworks dedicated to Mount Niesen. While the mountain remains unchanged across all seven canvasses, Loch modifies the colour and light in each case. For centuries, the Niesen has held a great fascination for artists: Alexandre Calame, Ferdinand Hodler and Paul Klee have all dedicated works to this iconic mountain.
